After 40 years in education, all of a sudden Cindy Mann felt alone.
She shares, “It is by stopping to breathe, that I am now on freedom’s road to great beauty, joy and gratefulness. All it took was to allow my spirit the time and space to seek freedom and peace.”
You can read more of her story at

Cindy shares, “I hope you take me up on the adventure of mindfulness and meditation. Life is full of miracles, but we must take time to experience them."
In her book, The Gift of Years – Growing Older Gracefully, Joan Chittister states, “It is fear of getting older that plagues us. Instead of seeing a long life as a gateway to the flowering of the spirit, the growing of the soul, we are far more likely in a culture geared toward movement and dexterity, physical beauty and public achievement, to see it as the coming of a wasteland.”

#008: High School Seniors Stress Reduced With Mindfulness Practices
Sunday Feb 28, 2021
Sunday Feb 28, 2021
Isabella Elliot and Emily Gallo - Meditation got them through 2020! Two seniors at Padua Academy in Wilmington, Delaware share their story of how their life changed the day they walked into Mr. Shelton’s Physics class where he begins each class with 3 minutes of silence. And they say every classroom in the US should start this way.
Isabella, a senior, believes that people in our society struggle with creating these positive thoughts and finding peace with themselves and one another. If more people meditated she believes our society would be more open-minded and people would be able to live more freely.
“Having meditation and mindfulness techniques truly helped me calm down the emotions that filled my body.” - Isabella Elliot
Emily, also a senior, wrote her Junior Research Paper on how meditation would be beneficial for students if implemented into classrooms nationwide. As a society, she shares, we definitely struggle with finding love within ourselves and within others, and she believes if more people meditated, society would become more peaceful and relationships would be stronger.
“Most importantly, I am grateful for the gift of mindfulness during this stressful year. Meditation genuinely got me through 2020. It helped me learn how to treat others, understanding that they are going through the same, if not a worse situation.” - Emily Gallo

Dr. Gold shares with us how children are being silenced and their development stunted in the age of quick diagnosis and overmedication. Have you ever heard of Emery’s Thunder Run to raise funds for cancer? The 3,100 mile coast to coast run across the U. S. is designed to raise awareness about Neuroblastoma, a cancer affecting children that is extremely challenging to successfully fight and one that is grossly underfunded when it comes to research.
Peter Halper is that crazy runner, Emery’s great uncle, on our show today to share, “The strongest compelling desire that motivates me in running is that the hurting, those that I run for, will feel even the faintest whisper of “I am seen,” says Peter Halper.
Running has become my whisper to them and their parents. My way of saying “I see you” and I am doing all that I can to help.
Join me on this Random Acts of Kindness week as we give back to this very special foundation.
